The most popular attraction in the north is Beau-Vallon, the most popular and most-frequented touristic area on the island with over one kilometre of beach in a sheltered bay. Along the beach are a chain of large hotels, as well as many guesthouses, apartments and bed & breakfasts around the area. Because of the crowd, you will also find a variety of eating options from restaurants to bars to takeaways.

The north east coast of Mahe is quieter and consists mostly of coastal roads winding around mountains, with outstanding views of the sea. The north east road leads directly to Victoria. In the districts of North east point and Anse Etoile, you can appreciate quiet evenings, beaches and living with the local community.

East coast of Mahe: how to decide
The east coast of Mahe is connected to the north and south by the highway, and then the main coastal road. Driving south after the capital Victoria, you will find the Hypermarket, main service station, Eden Island Marina, Providence commercial zone, the Seychelles International Airport, the beaches of the east coast, the Craft Village and finally Anse Royale village and beach. There are four star hotels, bed & breakfasts, guest houses and self catering apartments to choose from, both beach-front, coast side and uphill offering a variety of accommodation.
